LAUREN GOULD has worked in a variety of roles within the arts and higher education sectors with a focus on promoting public engagement, implementing organizational improvements, and working in collaboration with a range of partners. Lauren began her career in the cultural sector managing the Learning Department at the Lady Lever Art Gallery, part of National Museums Liverpool in the UK. Returning to Canada in 2010, Gould was appointed General Manager at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, before joining the Gardiner Museum in 2013. She held successive roles as Audience Development Manager, Senior Manager of Development and Programs, and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2017. In her time at the Gardiner, Lauren led on several capital development projects, increased development and hospitality revenues, increased organizational effectiveness, and piloted the successful Community Arts Space program. She joined The Robert McLaughlin Gallery on March 16, 2020. Lauren is inspired by the RMG’s grounding in its community, commitment to artists, and ability to act as an agent of change.
Lauren completed her B.A. at Concordia University in Creative Writing, Art History, and Studio Art; has an M.A. in Cultural Leadership from Liverpool John Moores University; and participated in the Toronto Arts Council Leaders Lab in 2018.
