Margaret Chrumka

MARGARET CHRUMKA has worked in and around the arts sector for the past 20 years. A graduate in History from the University of Victoria(1987) and then a Masters from the University of Toronto (1989), Margaret has worked in the Archives Department at the Glenbow Museum, Calgary, AB, as Registrar at the art and design college, Kootenay School of the Arts, Nelson, BC, and as Program Coordinator at the Salmon Arm Arts Centre, Salmon Arm, BC. Positions in marketing at a profitable credit union in Salmon Arm and as an instructor and coordinator involved in financial management, leadership and course development and delivery at Okanagan College, Salmon Arm, BC have added to her professional development. In 2012, Chrumka joined the Management Team at the Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamloops, BC and now works as the Gallery’s Executive Director. Currently, Margaret Chrumka serves as a member of the Canadian Museums Association 2017 and 2018 national conference planning committees.
